* The first-pass effect is common with traditional tablets, where the active substance passes through the digestive tract and then the liver, where it is mostly metabolized or converted into inactive compounds, thereby reducing the effectiveness of the administered dose. With our developed orally dispersible tablet (ODT) formulation, there is no first-pass effect. The active substance is absorbed and assimilated in the oral cavity and the upper part of the esophagus, resulting in increased effectiveness even at low doses. The active substance reaches the site of action more quickly and in higher concentration, ensuring a significantly stronger and faster onset of action.
