* First-pass effect is common with conventional tablets, where the active ingredient passes through the digestive tract and then the liver, being largely broken down or converted into ineffective substances - thus reducing the effectiveness of the administered dose. In our ODT formulation, the first-pass effect does not occur - the active substance is absorbed and assimilated already in the oral cavity and upper oesophagus, which results in increased efficacy even at low doses. The active substance is at the point of need faster and in a higher concentration - which ensures a many times stronger and faster onset of action.
