How does the Ecoegg Laundry Egg Work?

Two kinds of mineral pellets can create a thick natural laundry foam that gently, but effectively removes dirt and grime.

Tourmaline ceramic pellets loosen dirt from the fibers of textiles. The white mineral pellets ionize the oxygen molecules in the water, thus changing its pH. These modified molecules penetrate deep into the fabric fibers and thoroughly remove proteins and fats - the two main components of dirt. The mechanical movement of the laundry egg in the drum during the washing cycle helps to mechanically remove the loosened dirt without damaging the linen.

The water is made alkaline during the laundry cycle thanks to ionised oxygen molecules, without the use of chemicals. This helps soften the laundry naturally. Alkaline water can actively and effectively remove dirt and grime from laundry even at low temperatures.

How to Change the Mineral Pellets? 

When you use up the pellets in your Ecoegg laundry egg, don't throw away the plastic wrapping from the laundry egg, just refill the pellets and use it again.
This refill pack contains 2 bags of mineral pellets and one bag of tourmaline pellets.

The white mineral pellets in the egg shrink with washing. When they have reduced in volume by about half, it is time to refill the egg with a new batch of white mineral pellets. You can also tell that it is time to refill the pellets by the total volume of pellets in the larger part of the egg dropping about 1 cm below the edge.

The black tourmaline pellets do not shrink and do not need to be replaced or refilled.

When you need to refill the egg with pellets, you only need to buy separate refills. You can use the egg (packaging) for up to 10 years.

Important Notice

May cause skin and eye irritation. If it gets into the eyes, rinse repeatedly under running water. If possible remove contact lenses from eyes and wash again under water. Wash hands and skin. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
